Photographs from the Sundance Film Festival Submitted by Lance Stennett Februa 1 APITAL TIME terms with life, after a death. Not one of my favorites, but worth seeing. Next we went to the Filmmaker Roundtable at Sundance House. We spoke with Derek Waters and Jeremy Connor, the directors of "Drunk History" which won the Short Film Grand Jury Prize at the festival. They spoke about the creative process, getting films made and trends in indie filmmaking today. That night we attended the Awards. "Winter's Bone" and "Restrepo" won the U.S. Grand Jury Prizes for Dramatic and Documentary, respectively. At the after party we met a score of directors and actors. The nice part about Sundance is that it is all about inclusion and participation. Filmmakers were more than happy to talk and engage with us, something rare for an industry that is typically very egocentric. Sunday Sadly, yet greatly enlightened, we said goodbye to Sundance. left to right Lance Stennett, Rosemarie Patsiopoulos Pictured from SUNDANCE Continued from page 7 Saman, and Preston Thomas Petro
