Though she initially pursued a theater degree from University Park, she eventually ceded to her parents' wish of pursuing an alternate degree, and came to PSH, where she is now a communications major in her senior year. Layla has not strayed far from the stage however, as she performed in "Everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten", the first play performed at Penn State Harrisburg this past fall. Their favorite trip was from Bangkok by way of the Indian Ocean to Rome. Mumford calls himself an "international affairs junkie." He reads about five different related journals weekly. He also loves western politics and historical novels. Aside from the Bible, his favorite book is "The Peloponnesian Wars" by Thucydides. Some random facts about Jay Mumford are: He enjoys Cowboy and Western music (like the kind you hear in Branson, Mo), and the blues. Normally too busy for TV and movies, he occasionally catches a flick on the Turner Classics movie channel. His favorite food is raspberries and cream. He is a football fan, and roots for the Indianapolis Colts. He used to be a basketball fan, but sadly admits thathe gave up on it when the Utah Jazz were beat at the buzzer by number 23 of the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan. _ and performed in various locations throughout Taiwan. Eric Stump (Herb) is an English major in his third year. He has been working in theater since middle school, and was very active in the drama club at his Alma Mater, Schuylkill Haven High School. Eric has also done a lot of work with the Schuylkill County Acting Guild, with such performances as "Picnic" and "Gibbsville". He has worked with independent film and hopes to get back into it this summer. Also an avid musician, Eric is adept at playing the bagpipes. Berreka Banks (Joann), an Electrical Engineering major in her freshman year, has her plate full right now with working, school, and the production of "Godspell". A relative newcomer to the acting scene, Berreka has however studied classical piano since she was four years old. Characterized as a "very determined girl with spunk and attitude", she loves to show off her impression of Stewie from "Family Guy". The show will be performed April 24th, 25th and the 26th at 8 p.m., and Sunday April 27th at 2 p.m., in the Olmsted auditorium.
