Graduate Student Research Day
The Office of Research and
Graduate Studies is coordinating
a Graduate Student Research Day
on Friday, Feb. 24. The goal of the Campus Choir Invites Faculty and

Improve Your Writing Skills
The Office of Continuing Education
and School of Humanities are
partnering to offer a five-session
noncredit course aimed at
improving students' writing skills.
Topics will include: writing styles
such as technical, academic, literary,
and creative; idea development
strategies and organization; and
mechanics. Individual mentoring
time will also be included. The
course taught by Robin Thal,
a graduate of the Penn State
Harrisburg master's degree program
in Teaching and Curriculum, meets
Mondays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan.
23 through Feb. 27 in the EAB. For

or divulge passwords to others.

The upper level CUB doors that
lead out to the Swatara parking lot
will be locked at all times beginning
in January. This is a liability and
safety issue and the doors can no
longer be unlocked for groups

Harrisburg Faculty Diversity Award
and Staff Diversity Award are being

Art Exhibits
An exhibition of the art work of
Peter Mollenkof entitled "Just Below
the Surface" will be on display in
the Morrison Gallery from Nov. 14
through Jan. 13, 2006. Gallery hours
are: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m
to 9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fitness Facility Dress Code
Because of safety issues, it is
necessary to remind our users
that athletic shoes (tennis shoes,
sneakers, etc.) are the only shoes
permitted in any of the fitness areas
which include the weight room,
fitness room, gym, and racquetball
courts. Also, shirts must be worn at
all times.

Fun & Games
All Intramural Racquetball and
Table Tennis Division winners
will take place Jan. 25 for
racquetball and Jan. 26 for table
tennis, or at a mutually agreed
upon date and time. Current
standings for both sports are
posted on the Intramural bulletin
board outside Room 121 CUB.
Aerobicing Across America
- students, faculty, and staff
are invited to participate in this
unique walking program which
is designed to encourage aerobic
fitness through walking. This
year's theme is "Walk Your Way
to Retirement or Vacation."
Participants must chose a
destination to where they would
like to walk that is at least 300
miles from Penn State Harrisburg
A composite chart for logging
daily miles, as well as program
specifics, is posted outside Room
121 CUB. Participants who reach
their destination will be invited
to the year-end luncheon and will
receive a t-shirt. Participation
in this program is a great way
to stick to that New Year's
resolution of getting in shape
without joining an expensive
gym or being intimidated by
fitness equipment!
