February 24 - Retired senior
military intelligence officer Col.
Patrick Lang will discuss the
"intelligence cycle" during a free
public lecture. A former Green
Beret, Col. Lang served as the
Defense Intelligence Officer for
the Middle East, South Asia, and
Terrorism with the U.S. Defense
Intelligence Agency from 1985 to
1992. Event is from 12:20 1:45
p.m.
February 24 - The Capital
College Office of Research of
Graduate Studies is hosting the
annual Publishing Celebration at
3:30 p.m. in the Gallery Lounge
of the Olmsted Building. The
event honors college faculty and
staff who have published books,
recordings, and other works in
the past year.

of Career Services and the
Accounting Club are sponsoring

March 23 - Dr. Pamela Hayes,
a clinical psychologist practicing
in Kania, Alaska, and an adjunct
faculty member at the University
of Alaska-Anchorage and
Antioch University in Seattle,
will speak on "Cultivating Cross-
Cultural Wisdom." The event is
sponsored by the Applied Clinical
Psychology master's and Adult
Education doctorate programs at
Penn State Harrisburg. Event will
be in the Olmsted Auditorium at
6:15 p.m.
March 23 - Faculty members
from the School of Humanities,
Dr. Meg Jaster, Dr. Pat Johnson,
and Dr. Robin Veder, will discuss
women and clothing, women and
literature, and women and the
visual arts. This event is part of
the "Women in Society" series
and will be held in the Gallery
Lounge from 2 - 3:15 p.m.

March 15 - Violinist Kara Unal
will be performing in the Gallery

a student at the Julliard School in
New York City and made her solo
debut at the age of 10.

nominations for the 2004-05
Doris Hughes Memorial Award.
This award has been established
by the family and friends of Doris
Hughes, the first international
student adviser at Penn State
Harrisburg. The purpose of
the award is to recognize
international students who have
actively participated in campus
or community activities and have
achieved academic success after
completing at least one semester
of study at Capital College.
Nomination forms are available
in the Student Assistance Center,
W-117 Olmsted. Deadline for
nominations is Friday, February
25.
