PSH Faculty Exhibits Skills in Morrison Gallery An exhibit combining the work of its art and communications faculty in a college or university is a tradition on many campuses, and the current show at the Morrison Gallery of the new library honors that tradition by bringing together the art of four of its faculty: Nancy Mendes of Etters, Instructor of Humanities; Linda Mylin Ross of Lancaster, Assistant Professor of Education and Humanities; Victor Viser of York, Assistant Professor of Humanities and Communication; and Samuel P. Winch of Harrisburg, Communications Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Humanities and Communication Mendes's oils, with a clarity that pierces the memory, reflect her Cape Verdean (African and Portuguese) heritage. Ross's charcoal drawings depict our farmland on the brink of development, raising landscape and environmental issues Winch's documentary photography of people from many countries tells or depicts something about each subject as contrasted by incongruous elements in each picture. Viser's works are from his recent Earth and Self Series, with a quiescence that is rare to find in nature or self The show will run through March 21. There will be a reception and Gallery Talk on Thursday, Feb 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Morrison Gallery hours are Monday thru Thursday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m The Morrison Gallery is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
