This Christian band boldly rocked in the 10 finalists spot before getting 'The Cut.' Their funk sound is reflective of a smooth upbringing—each performed in "THIS CD LACKS NOTHING!" church growing up. Pay-Dough and Blake Knight cite listening influences growing up in the city. Somerville has also done television and radio voice-overs for commercials and he has performed at Notre Dame, the University of Connecticut, University of California and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Somerville grew up in New Jersey as the youngest of three boys and he claims he is the least funny member of his fami ly . After college, Somerville landed a job with an advertising company, but he quickly learned that office life was not for him. Although Somerville discovered stand-up comedy through a dare from his friends, he says he instantly fell in love with it and that it just comes naturally to him. Laughing at his jokes was a way for students to relieve some of the stress brought on by exams and papers. His jokes were funny and his act included some basic topics students can relate to about college life like drink ing, dating and relationships, family, and summer vacations. Somervillle interacted very well with the audience and his comedic timing was impeccable. Alison Angelo, a PSU student and a resident of Meade Heights, said, "He was very funny. I would go see him again." Angelo felt she could relate to Somerville's jokes, especially about dating.
