Colleges across the country also observe the third month of the year in a variety of special ways, and PSH is no exception. On March 22, Patrice Gaines will present a lecture titled “Women in Politics” in the Gallery Lounge. From now until March 24, the Gallery Lounge will also host an exhibit by Martina Johnson-Alien entitled “A Gathering of Women, A Healing Place, 1,000 Expressions of Life,” to con clude the observance of Women’s History Month. Dr. Janesick is Professor of Educational Leadership and Doctoral Program Director at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Her most recent text, Stretching Exercises for Qualitative Researchers: Improving Observation and Interview Skills emphasizes her interest in integrating the Arts and Humanities into education and research activities. Her use of dance as a metaphor for understanding qualitative research is part of her repertoire of writing as seen in the Handbook of Qualitative Research. Her articles on "Journal Writing as a Qualitative Research Technique" have been published in Qualitative Inquiry (1999) and in the text Perspectives in Critical Thinking: Essays by Teachers in Theory and Practice.
