East Coast Hoppers
Win PSH Football Title
Behind a huge defensive per
formance, the East Coast Hoppers
defeated the Western Wildcats
13-0 on Nov. 18 to win the Penn
State Harrisburg Intramural
Football Championship.
The Wildcats got the ball first
and drove immediately down the
field to' the Hoppers’ 15-yard
line. That’s when Chuck Tobias
intercepted a pass and returned it
into Wildcat territory.
The Hoppers took the advan
tage as Paul Uhl caught a touch
down pass from Darius Johnson
on a rollout play to make the
score 6-0. The Hoppers failed to
convert the extra point.
The Wildcats weren’t discour
aged by the score however, and
drove inside the Hoppers’ 20-
yard line once again.
Like dejavu, Tobias intercept
ed a pass in the end zone and ran
it back into Wildcat territory.

pass from Paul Uhl. This time the
Hoppers made the extra point to
make it 13-0.
Before halftime, the Wildcats
took the ball to the Hoppers’
five-yard line but were unable to
score despite a near spectacular
catch by John Johnson.
There was no scoring by
either team in the second half.
Pete Terpak intercepted a pass
for the Hoppers late in the game
to end any chances of a come
