the proposed changes.
Dr. Kathryn Towns had
a goal for many years to
establish a women's stud-
ies minor and now it has
finally happened. She
recently retired as a pro
fessor in the Division of
Behavioral Science and
Education.
The School of Business
Administration will be
offering the international
business minor. Dr. Mel
Blumberg, director of
undergraduate programs
in that school, is in
charge 4of the new minor.

pro-active and positive,"
Bruhn said.
Bruhn acknowledges
that the Commonwealth
Educational System plan is
in the first draft stage.
Many unanswered
questions remain; many
issues need to be worked
out. Time will tell.
"One of the things I
want to do is sleep well at
night," Bruhn said.
"There is no longer
international business.
It's just business,"
Blumberg said. "It is
imperative that business
students acquire the nec
essary knowledge and
skills to manage today's
complex global corpora-
tion."
There are no students
in the program yet.
According to Secretary
Louise Smith, students will
be encouraged to begin
the International
Business minor in the Fall
semester

is now accepting
submissions for the
1996 edition.
