This presentation traces the roots of Black American
Music from the Pre-Civil war era to present day America
and concludes the presentation with an enlivening

Conference
On Saturday Jan. 27 from
8:30-4:00 in the CUB join
student leaders, potnetial
leaders, faculty and staff at
the Student Leadership
Conference 'sponsored by the
SGA.
The conference is divided
into three sessions. Session I
will deal with Relaxation,
Stress and Time Management.
Learn how to combat stress in
your life. ,
Sesion II deals with
Conflict Management and
Resolution. Learn how to
develope techniques to
negotiate with different
peoples styles and opinions.
Sesion 111 is entitled "We
Are Penn State" and in it
learn how to motivate others
into your own style.
Breakfast and lunch are
served and the conference is
free.
