The Life Lion helicopter is a life
saving tool which doubles as public
relations outlet. Painted on both sides
is more than can be expected of one
of the aircraft is the Nittany Lion
emblem, while the body is done in the
school colors-- blue and white.
The Life Lion helicopter will be on
campus on October 30 from 10:00 a.m.

Rural growth
Projections for the year 2000
indicate that Pennsylvania 33 rural
and nonmetropolitan will
experience significant population
increases and may be reclassified
as metropolitan, according to a
study done for the Pennsylvania
State Data Center at Penn State
Harrisburg.
"As the population increases in
nonmetro counties, some will be
reclassified as metropolitan," said
Dr. Gretchen Cornwell, assistant
professor of rural sociology.
Metropolitan areas such as
Philadelphia and Allegheny
counties are expected to loose
some of their population to rural
areas.
Pennsylvania has the largest
number of rural residents in the
nation.

Affairs, said Kaito was home to "attend a
wedding."
A meeting was scheduled on the third
floor of Wrisberg Hall, where Kaito
lived, to discuss the circumstances of
his death.
Dr. Ed Beck, Coordinator of
Counseling programs, and Saul
Pellicano, a Wrisberg resident assistant,
organized the impromptu meeting with
the third floor residents.
"I felt that everyone on the floor
should know about it," Pellicano said.
Beck said the University has very
little information because details are
sketchy and are slow coming in.
"What I'm trying to get is some
sense of what can we do for (residents of
the third floor of Wrisberg)," Beck said.
Jaime Rivera, Kaito's roomate,
delivered Kaito's belongings to the
family. Rivera will attend the funeral.
"When something like this happens,
a family doesn't have time to plan,"
Beck said.
The funeral was scheduled for 10 am.
October 4, at Holy Cross Roman
Catholic Church.
Donations can be sent to Saul
Pellicano, 316 Wrisberg Hall.
Pellicano is collecting money for Kaito's
family.
