Are you a senior or graduate
student seeking permanent employment?
Then take advantage of the Central
Pennsylvania Employment Consortium
(CPEC) Job Fair to be held before
Spring break.
The JOB FAIR is for all majors
and is free to graduating students from
Penn State Harrisburg. It is also
available to all Penn State Harrisburg
alumni who are in the process of
changing jobs.
The CPEC is a group of 11
colleges and six organizations who are
working together to help provide better
employment opportunities for the
students who attend these institutions.
In addition to Capital College, the ten
other colleges involved are Albright
College, Dickinson College,
Elizabethtown College, Franklin and
Marshall College, Gettysburg College,
Lebanon Valley College, Messiah
College, Millersville University, Penn
State York and York College of
Pennsylvania. The six organizations
who belong to CPEC are AMP, Inc.
Electronic Data Systems, Harrisburg
Area Chamber of Commerce, Hershey
Foods Corporation, IBM Corporation
and York International Corporations.
Representative from each college and
organization have devoted a great deal of
time into the planning and organization
of the JOB FAIR.
===l
The JOB FAIR will be held on
Thursday, February 18, 1988 from 9am
to 4pm at the state Farmshow Complex
in Harrisburg. On that day, over 100
employer representatives from the
Northeastern part of the united States
will be present to interview job
candidates for employment possibilities.
These employers represent a broad cross
section of organizations both in type and
size. All are looking for qualified
applicants to hire for present or
anticipated job openings.
The Career Services office is
holding CPEC informational meetings
during the month of November. Attend
one to watch a video on what to expect
at the JOB FAIR and learn how to
prepare for the event. Formal
registration will be held duuring the first
three weeks in December through the
Career Services Office.
For names of the companies
planning to recruit at the JOB FAIR and
for the times, dates, and locations of the
CPEC informational meetings, read the
postings on the Career Service Bulletin
Boards (outside W-101, Olmsted
Building and on the second floor of the
Capital Union Building.)
