He currently teaches Western Tradition 1 (Hum 311) and Technology and Humanities (Hum 302). AM Emdad Ali Emdad is the new assis tant professor of computer ap plications. Emdad received a Ph.D. in information science from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. Emdad taught at Ap palachian State University in North Carolina for three and a half years. Currently, he is involved in research on “query language structures in full-text retrieval systems.” Emdad said he is also in terested in micro-computer Ellen Ellen Shatto, a calculus pro fessor, has been with Penn State Capitol Campus for seven years. However, this is her first semester as a full-time pro fessor. From 1977 to 1979 she was a graduate student. She was been a part-time professor at Capitol from 1979 until last spring. Shatto studied at Lebanon Valley College as an undergraduate, where she received a degree in Education specializing in mathematics. This semester she will also be taking a correspondence course at Capitol. Shatto compared her ex periences at Capitol to those of her undergraduate days at Lebanon Valley, which she said was also a small school. “I like the small campus at mosphere,” she said. “I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to meet people on a personal Louise E.
