Joseph F. Douglas of York, associate professor of engineering
design technology at Capitol Campus, recently was elected vice
chairman of Region 2 of the Institute of Electrical and Elec
tronics Engineers, Inc. (lEEE), the largest professional
engineering society in the world. Region 2 is. the third largest
subdivision of the organization, and includes 25,000 members
from parts of seven Eastern states.
Information bulletins for the Graduate Management Admis
sion Test (GMAT), the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), and the
Law School Admission Test (LSAT) which include registration
materials are available in the Counseling Center, W-117.
The GMAT test will be given Jan. 29—registration deadline is
Dec. 27 and the late registration deadline is Jan. 4.
The GRE test date is scheduled for Feb. 5. Registration
deadline is Dec. 30, late registration deadline is Jan. 11.
On Feb. 19, the LSAT test will be given. Deadline for registra
tion for this test is Jan. 20—late registration is Jan. 27.
The Student Government Association is looking into the
feasibility of a transportation program, for on-campus resident
students.
The program addresses two areas.
The first area is safety concern for students attending night
classes and them having to walk to and from the residential
areas.
The second area is coordinating a voluntary transportation
program among students with access to a motor vehicle and
students who would like a ride to school.
The HACC Jazz-Rock Ensemble, under the direction of John
Byers, will present its eighth annual Christmas concert this
Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Rose Herman Lehrman Arts Center
Auditorium.
The program will feature vocal solos by Julie Jeselnick and
will consist of Christmas songs, jass-rock tunes, and other selec
tions of a standard jazz nature. It will last approximately one
hour and it is free and open to the general public.
