Phi Beta Lambda Newsletter
The 1981 Health Fair, co-sponsored by the Health Services and PBL, was a
great success. It attracted 600 people, a 100'/z increase over last year. Next year,
we hope to draw 1,000 people. PBL would like to thank our co-sponsor Jean
Kresge, all the members of PBL, and everyone who helped make this year's
Health Fair the best ever--so far!
PBL is proud to be sending representatives to the National Leadership
Conference in Chicago. They are Denise Wells, Dave Boyd, and Susan Snell. Go
out there and show Chicago what we have here at Capitol, and bring back with
you new knowledge, experience, ideas, and friends that will carry PBL to heights
never reached before. Although it is a serious event, do try to have fun. Good
luck, and we will see you during the summer.
On June 3, PBL had an end of the year picnic in Meade Heights at the home of
Ruth Yost. The festivities started at 1 p.m. and continued until the wee hours.
Thanks to all for contributing to the success of the picnic.
In the past year, PBL has grown from inactivity to become one of the most
active clubs on campus. This new tradition will be continued during the summer.
We enjoyed success at the State Leadership Conference, bringing home three
trophies. Next year, the Capitol Campus chapter of PBL will dominate the
competition. We will continue to grow in all facets and take PBL to new heights.
Thanks to every PBL member for making this year the best yet for PBL at
Capitol Campus. Good luck to Denise, Dave, and Susan at Nationals, and everyone
have a great summer!
