With "PARTY IN PENN'S WOODS" as the theme, the Art Association has chosen to celebrate the Pennsylvania Tricentennary and the 300th anniversary of the signing of William Penn's Charter. The Ball Masque, Harrisburg's answer to New Orleans' Mardi Gras, will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, and will continue until 1 a.m., with dancing to the music of Herm Miller's orchestra and its Big Band Sound. Emcee will be Jim Sinkovitz of WHP . . . Paul Beer, Harrisburg Patriot/News columnist, will be honorary chairman. A cash bar will benefit Harrisburg River Rescue. Food, arranged by committee chairman Patricia Treon, will be served picnic style in keeping with the "Penn's Woods" theme. Costumes will be the featured attraction of the evening, with prizes awarded in the categories of Singles, Couples, and Groups. Paintings by Association member artists will constitute the prizes. Costumes should carry through the theme of 300 years of Pennsylvania History . . . up to and including the present time. Formal attire is also appropriate. Tickets cost $15.00 per person this year: they will go on sale early in February at Rainbow Entertainment in Strawberry Square, at the People Place at 301 Market Street, and at the Association office at 21 N.
