The Association is the oldest art organization in the city, the only one with an extensive permanent collection, a full-time art school, and a year-long schedule of exhibitions and social events. Associate Members receive the bi-monthly newsletter and are encouraged to assist with the various social functions and fund-raisers; other categories of members are entitled to exhibit in yearly membership non-juried shows, can vote and hold office, and can sell their work at the annual art auction. Being a member of the Art Association is an excellent way for an artist to make contacts with other artists and the buying public ...and non-artists are enabled to enjoy art-related functions and support art in the community. The Art Association is run through an elected Board of Directors and the executive director Charles A. Schulz. Carrie Thomas is president. Please stop in at 21 North Front Street, Harrisburg, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday ...or call 236-1432 to see what the Art Association has to offer you.
