Noe Fools
In my rather short time at
this campus I have encount
ered some rather alarming
situations which I feel have
gone on entirely too long. I
spent two years at a small
liberal arts college where I
was involved in student
government. At this school
we encountered some of the
same problems that Capitol is
having, and we were able to
correct them. I believe that
the same can be done here
with my help. This school is an
excellent opportunity for
higher education and with
some work by someone that
knows a higher level of ed
ucation at this university will
be accomplished.

2. Platform: is one designed
to benefit student at Capitol
Campus, whether they live on
campus or commute. Major
emphasis will be placed on the
ideas of getting students in
volved with the campus, and
also to get students to inter
act with each other socially.
Ideas of Major Consideration
1. Registration- investigate
better and easier flowing
methods in which students
can register.
2. Orientation- design better
programs for students to
meet the school as well as
meet other students.
3. Social gatherings-Parties
dancing or interesting social
gatherings designed to allow
students to socially interact
with one another.
a. on campus gatherings
b. office campus gatherings
4. Books-
a. Can prices be lowered?
1. if so, how can it be done
2. if not, why not, and a
explanation to the students
why they can not.
5. Fund Raisers-designed to
raise money, but more im
portantly designed to get
students involved.

'lt is my contention that
there are areas of student life
that can be improved on this
campus
When considering the re
gistration process for 7th
termers, the process for re
moving books from the library
and the purchasing prices of
books from the bookstore s I
feel strongly that there is a
need for improvements.
As a student of accounting
I am interested in becoming a
part of the decision making
process of this organization.
As a student who spends
time on campus I am looking
forward to spending my time
with the students so thatl can
be a responsive member of
the S.G.A. I am interested in
the welfare of the students,
both academically and socially
and if elected I will do every
thing in my power to see that
the SGA is moving in the
directions that are most ben
eficial to the students of this
campus.
Robert A. McDonald (Mac)
My qualification is that Pm
a student of Penn State
University who takes an
active part in its processes
and functions. Before coming
to Capitol Campus, I had been
both a part-time and
full-time student of a P.S.U.
branch campus-for close to 4
years. During that time, I
helped S.G.A. in many of its
functions: orientation week,
spring day, slave sales, dances
and of course parties. I have a
good understanding of the
rules and policies of this uni
versity: therefore I can rea
lize which policies should be
accepted and which ones
should be changed.
My reason for running is
simple. I wish to have a closer
say-by means of represent
ation-in the working, pro
cesses and functions that will
affect myself and other stu
dents like me, for the remain
der of our stay at Capitol
Campus. My primary interest
would be concerned with: 1.
Dormitory life and how it
could be improved, 2. Policies
or rules-which ones I believe
should be implemented and
which ones dropped.these of
course, would all be done thru
student votes for they are
who make up the this campus.
3. Allocation of school re
sources and 4. to try to break
the gap that exists between
the Heights and the Dorms.
I will admit that I have never
held (officially) an S.G.A.of
fice before, but I feel that a
person full of fresh ideas and
who is willing to give up some
of his time to implement these
ideas is what the S.G.A.
WANTS. Thank you.

for SGA Junior senator at
I want to voice student
concerns (through the SGA)
to the administration, and
have a positive direct impact
on important campus matters
that govern students. As an
engineering student, I want to
instate a Dean's List on this
campus to encourage students
to excel academically. And if
elected Senator, I will do my
best to make sure all policies
made will be IN THE BEST
INTEREST OF THE
STUDENTS ON THIS
CAMPUS.

I have always had an avid
interest in the activities of
student government. I am
socially conscientious and de
voted to my fellow students. I
maintained 3.2 cummulative
average at the P.S.U. Beaver
Campus, but unfortunately
was given no opportunity to
run for office. I have made
many friends in the Math
ematical Science department
and would be happy to re
present them.

I am interested in the
student body and the policies
by which it is goverened. I
would like to be a part of the
student government and help
to improve policies for stu
dents.
Being a Social /Public
Policy major, I feel that I am
expectionally qualified for a
junior senatorial position. As
a junior senator not only will I
be able to help in the fun
ctioning of student govern
ment, but I will also gain
much knowledge from the
position. It will be a beneficial
learning experience for me
since I am interested in
government and politics and
plan to attend law school.
