The four-year old troupe is under the di rection of its Trina Collins. Danceteller has been as sociated until recently with Wilson College in Chambersburg. At Capitol Campus, the intention is to offer .a complete range of master classes, workshops in choregraphy, Interludes, and major concerts. There are also to be lecture-demonstra tions in the community. Dr. Robert Graham, Pro gram Head of the Humanities Department. "We want Danceteller to be visible in the area and are scheduling performances at retirement homes, public schools and in dustry. This is a genuine contribution by the university and the campus to the cultural life of Central Pennsylvania.” by joan h klein Financial support for the artistic venture comes from several sources. The largest share of the cost, $4,500, is in the form of a joint grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the National En dowment for the Arts in Washington D.C. This grant was assigned to this purpose by Floyd Fischer, Vice Pre sident-Continuing Education at Pennsylvania State University. In addition, the Student Government Association has contributed $5OO, the Cultural Affairs Committee $lOOO, and the Humanities Department $1,500. Danceteller’s first activity was an Interlude presented Sept. 18. While the audience was sparse, it was enthusias tic. Devotees of the dance may look forward to the troupe’s next presentation on November 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium. reader
