Give me five My name is The Hand and this is my first term here at Capitol Campus. With pen in myself I happened to tip-finger into the C. C. Reader office and since they need all the ‘hands’ they can get, I immed iately was conned into an assignment. Being new, I thought I’d point out my experiences at registration since it was the topic, if you’ll pardon the expression, at hand. Registration, as you know, is a really trying experience. First you’re given address forms and confidentiality forms and this form and that form. By the time I was fin ished, I had cramped fingers and a palm ache. Then, they give you of all things, an advisor. Well, I found his office after some people gave me a few pointers. By the time Events at Ifniv. General sale: $B.OO, $6.00, by the hand I got there, there was a line and I was exhausted so I casually laid myself on a friend’s lap (that raised a few eyebrows). After a long period in which I just twiddled my thumb and doodled all over my forms, eventually it was my turn. Other than the fact that he gave me quite a shake when we met, my advisor was okay and we scheduled the right courses for my career as a masseur. With my pen, forms and course card, I headed (oops) for 216. Of course at the first table they couldn’t find my card. Was I under T for The or H for Hand? That took awhile and by the time the attendant found the card I was about to be come a fist. After that, of course, the Week of Oct. 1: Theatre The Shadow Box. 8 p.m., Oct> 4-6, at the Playhouse. There is no admission price for soccer and field hockey games. dance class I wanted was filled and the only thing avail able that period was Mechan ical Drawing or Trash One. I choose the drawing cause I can never get a grip on dates. You know the rest of the story; by the time I was finished, I had blisters and a completely new schedule, as well as an I.D. card that shows every wrinkle and makes my knuckles look REAL BIG. Oh well, forget the past they say. I’ve got to get washed up and do my nails for school on thursday anyway so I’ll cut this short. As far as I’m concerned, it’s thumbs down on registration this term and we’ll all just have to keep our fingers crossed for next time. NEED AN EASY PART-TIME JOB?
