.if Penntytvanli State UnhtraHy at Capital Campus Vol. 8 No 16 Students Scream Back The administration has been the target of continual criticism this past week due to their decision to abolish keggars on campus. Students have been in an uproar over the decision and have not hesitated to express their anger. Banners hang freely from the dorm windows and houses in Meade Heights, indicating the stu dents' disapproval. One banner hanging from Church Hall stating "Eat shit, PSU” was torn down by a Resident Advisor under pro test that it was “out of place, and immature.” by barb mcnamara While students are al lowed to have parties In Meade Heights (provided everyone is 21 years of age or older) they are not per mitted to have keggars in the Student Center or parties in the dormitories. When asked individually, students seemed disappoin ted and disgusted. Many feel that keggars are the only social activity where students can gather and socialize. Many students feel that the abolition of keggars will not deter vandalism, a common charecteristic of keggars, in that trouble will escalate in the local bars. “Al the news that fts we print" 24 May 1979 photo by lyda baker
