Police changing image, expanding services
Students see the Campus Police
as mainly a department that
tickets cars. This image should
be on its way out the door.
"We can do something for
the college community," said
Charles Alesky, the recently
appointed head of Capitol Cam
pus Police.

involved in campus activities
other than calsses, such as the
paper and the struggling choral
group. We had a terrible time
scraping up 17 people out of

singing group. I'd also like to
see an active theatre produc

most likely avoid stealing them,
according to the campus police.

Ten students are employed and
two of the ten are hired for
ticket processing.
There are five full time
officers on the campus police
force and an additional one is

There is one police car and

cars are at their disposal.
