Awards Announced
Who's Who
Middletown--Thirty-two students
from Penn State--Capitol Campus have
been selected to be included in the
1977-78 edition of Who's Who Among
Students In American Universities and
Colleges.
The students were selected on the
basis of their academic achievement,
service to the community, leadership in
extracurricular activities, and future
potential.
Outstanding students from across
the nation have been honored in this
annual directory since it was first
published in 1934.

Thousands of people soothed by music, booze and grass enjoyed the
sunny afternoon and evening at the 1978 Capitol Campus Spring Concert.
Tarnhelm Plans Reception
The 1978 edition of Tarnhelm will
be available free -of-charge on
Thursday, June Ist, and will be
distributed at a reception to be held in
the Gallery Lounge from 12-4 p.m. The
reception of the annual literary
publication will mark its sixth year as
"the creative voice of Capitol Campus."
The Gallery Lounge reception will
serve both to honor the contributors
and to formally present Tarnhelm to
the campus community. All students,
faculty, and administrative staff are
cordially invited to attend. Refre'sh
ments, will be served, and the
Tarnhelm staff will be in attendance.
Tarnhelm's 1978 issue includes
prose stories by Eleanor Ebersole,
Linda Lingle, and Jseph Taylor.
Represented poets include Bob
Buckingham, Marilyn Carmen, Kande
Charsha, Susan Evans, Tom Gerlander,
Theodora Graham, Tony Guida,
Gregory Hall, Peg Hartzell, Jane
Johnson, Randy Myers, and Allan
Ward.
Featured on the cover is a photo by
Bill Vogt. Photographers represented
include Dave Gates, Jan Gill, Ingeborg
Miller, Ken Morrell, and Kevin
Stuessy.
There are a limited number of
copies, and they will be distributed
first come, first served. Copies not

distributed at the Thursday reception
will be available in the Humanities
office, W-161, until the supply is
exhausted.
Printing of this year's Tarnhelm
was done at Benson/Kitty Printers of
Harrisburg. The finished publication
represents a year-long process of much
planning, evaluation, work, and
dedication from the Tarnhelm staff--
Gregory Hall, John Flanagan, Kevin
Stuessy, Randy Myers, Joseph Taylor,
and Sue Mclnerney.
