The Photo Club displayed some of
its latest works in the Gallery Lounge
this week. The exhibit will end on
Wednesday of next week. New in the
show this year are some color prints,
which the club has developed the
ability to handle.
Although the club was set back by a
Fall Term revamping of the darkroom
and the rough period of the Winter
Term, it has laid plans for an active
Spring Term. The Capitol Campus
Photo Club meets weekly on Thursday
nights at 8:30 p.m. in the rear of the
Admissions and Placement Building,
off to the right of the entrance of
Security.
Some of the upcoming attractions
are "How to present a slide show,"
color photography, and maybe a field
trip or two. The faculty advisor, Ed
Trunk (engineering professor and avid
photo hobbyist) has given discussions
on lighting techniques, different
camera equipment and the use of
filters. Ralph Hanes, better known as
the dorm group photographer, knows
about Photo mounting. Bruce Hoffman
has a priceless antique camera
collection.
Anyone interested in joining the
camera club is invited to attend the
meeting or call Tom Gans (club
president) at 944-1520.
Come on out, capture that special
moment with your camera, and share it
with others. You'll be glad you did.
