February 2,1978 What's Happening In Recreation And Athletics By Neil Landes The varsity bowling team came up with their fourth victory of the season Sunday by defeating Montgomery College 17 1 /z - B'/a. • Bob Braun led the Lions with a 4 game series of 762 with high games of 233 and 202. Other high scores were rolled by coach Graham May - 219 and Joe Sneed - 204, 202 - 737 series. On Saturday the Lions were not so successful when they were edged out in the final game 16-10. Mike Knill led the club with a 748 series - 204, 203. Bob Braun rolled a 740 series and Joe Sneed bowled a 210. The team will bowl next in the A.C.U.I. Tournament on February 2-3-4 at University Park. On Sunday the Lions take on University Park. The intramural bowling continues to provide some tension as the battle for first place continues. The surprising intramural team this semester is Spoons. They are tied for third place after finishing 12th first semester. Vanity Basketball Capitol Campus defeated Hazleton Campus 77 to 53 when they met on Capitol's home, court Monday, Jan. 30. Virgil Jules scored a total of 23 points, which brings his season total to 258 points. (He is really out to break the record set by our head coach Jim Baker) Additional scoring was as follows: R.
