“This is an extremely
dangerous safety violation,"
Paul says, “and can result in
serious injury or loss of life.”
He warns that traffic
violation notices will be
issued to cyclists without
this safety device on their
bikes.
In another safety related
message, Paul recommends
that anyone walking along
campus roads at night
should wear some form of
light colored clothing and
should always walk facing
oncoming traffic. “If
possible and practicable,
when walking along the side
of the highway at night,
carry a flashlight and light it
when vehicles are ap
proaching you,” Paul says.
