PAGE FIVE Security Deliberations Continue The Committee on Student Affairs met on November 13, continuing their discussion on campus security. Changes of a substantive nature were made in the language of a report submitted to the committee. Each proposed change was met with discussion by various members of the committee. Questions arose concerning the selection process of the Student Security Force as well as its duties and respon sibilities. The formation of a Campus Safety Committee was men tioned as a possible means of administering matters per taining to security on campus. The proposed committee would consist of three students, two faculty members as well as one administrator. It was em phasized by Jerry South, Director of Student Affairs, that the committee would have to function on a twelve month basis and that the continuity of * * **********************r****** * li I * * * o* ► „. In order to thoroughly examine the role of security on campus, the committee moved to obtain the job description of the current Chief of Security, Mr. James Paul. Director, Arab Information office, Washington, D.C. speaks before a Gallery Lounge audience on the Palestinian perspective of the Middle East situation. Meet Mr. Richard Stevens Mr. Richard Stevens, a former graduate of Capitol Campus, now is a member of our faculty. His offical title here at Capitol Campus is "Planning Analyst", for the Institute of State and Regional Affairs. "My major interests lie in Regional Planning, especially urban and regional economics, along with the application of computers to regional plan ning", states Mr. Stevens. He attended St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia for his B.S. in Economics. Then he worked for the Federal Government for a year as ":Management and Computer Systems Analyst". Mr. Stevens served three years in the army as a Data Processing Officer in Germany. He received his master's degree in Regional Planning right here at Capitol Cmpus. While studying here Mr. Stevens was a graduate assistant. Faculty Faces By JOSEPH MINNICI At the present time he teaches Quantitative Methods in Planning. This spring he will instruct the course entitled, Economic Theory and Analysis in Planning. Meet Mr. Barry Lewis The fall term here at Capitol Campus has seen many new faculty members. One in particular, Mr. Barry Lewis, is a part of the Business Ad ministration department. Mr. Lewis initially started his undergraduate work in 1961 at the University of Penn sylvania, where he studied chemistry. However, he didn't finish. Instead, he served four and one-half years as a helicopter pilot in the army. Afterwards, Mr. Lewis received his B.S. in Accounting from Troy State University in Alabama. At the Wharton University of Pennsylvania he completed his master's degree. Also Mr. Lewis is a Certified NOVEMBER 22, 1974 Public Accountant in Penn sylvania. He is married and has a Korean son. Mr. Lewis comments", I like it here because of the mixture of the student body. Capitol is not typical of any other Campus". His prior work experience includes Ernst & Ernest, an international accounting firm and also Hempt Bros. Inc. In his leisure time, Mr. Lewis enjoys playing tennis and handball whenever he can find a court. He also plays the guitar and an occasional game of bridge. 5 1 1- Y ,
