Page 10 Saccet Capitol Sweeps Schuylkill As expected, our soccer team, now in peak form, rolled over Schuylkill in a decisive victory last Thursday night. The steady drizzle had little effect on the game or the spirited crowd that assembled to cheer the teams. During the first half, Capitol dominated the field. At four minutes Dennis Doerr scored his twelfth goal of the season on a sudden 'turn and shoot" into the right corner of the goal. Schuylkill went on the defensive and held for a time until a "dream play'. developed on a pass from Barry Deacon to Mike Burkholder to set up Dennis Doerr giving him an even "Baker's Dozen." The half ended at 2:0. Schuylkill was on the defense for most of the second half. Mike Burkholder put Capitol ahead 3:0 when he drove a low hard line drive into the left corner. A 12-yard penalty conversion by Schuylkill spoiled Capitol's possible shutout ending the game 3:1. Coach Trunk was proud of the Team's performance and made continuous substitutions to give all present a chance to play. "I am now trying to develop depth and sow the seeds for next season," said the coach. One of the ongoing sideline activities is recruitment for the team. The coach was happy to announce that the two best Schuylkill players decided to apply for admission at Capitol so that they may continue here in their chosen sport. The team now looks forward to their next game with the Harrisburg Internationals and then next Tuesday, May 14th with the Harrisburg Olympic Soccer Club here at 8 p.m. The season ends with a tough challenger, Franklin & Marshall here next Thursday the 16th at 8:30 p.m. The team's lineup is: Goal - Tom Peterman; Fullbacks - Dave Wozniak, Ken Albert, Bill Davies; Halfbacks - Dan Fichtner, Larry Lini, enfelter, Ennio Trent, Mike Nonnemacher, Andy Koval, Doug Weirich, Pat Byrne, Marino Puliti; Forwards - Randy Hess, Mike Burkholder, Dennis Doerr, Barry Deacon, Armand Magnelli, Al Burlikowski, Mike Ayyoub, John Harris, Bob Lawler, Ted Domuracki, Milt Shaley, Joe Adams, Al Krippe.
