The meeting of the Meade Heights Board of Governors was held on Tuesday, October 9, 1973 at the Middle Earth Coffeehouse at 7 p.m. The main topic for discussion was the constitution of the Meade Heights Board of Governors. . The new revised constitution was read by the vice-president. After a few minor alternations it was called to a vote by President Jerry Reich. The constitution was then passed unanimousily. It was then decided that it will be typed and copies will be sent to all the houses in Meade Heights by next week. The last topic discussed was the formation of the Housing Contract Committee. It has been requested by the Housing Office that the Board of Governors make recommendations to revise the present contract. The discussion of the contract revisions was postponed until next week because more people are expected to be present at the meeting because of the communal dinner. However, two specifics were cited, the pet policy and the guest registration policy. A letter has been received from Otto Mueller, Director of Housing and Food Services in answer to the pet policy formulated by the Board of Governors last year. As usual, the request was refused even though guidelines were proposed for pet owners to follow. It was decided that further action will be discussed Services For Sale ** * * M.H.8.01 The Students' Voice (IE) Man's Schwinn Continental 10-spd. Has small frame, safty flag gumwall tires. $75. The guest registration policy was explained by Pat Murphy. The official policy is that guests must be registered with either the housing office or the resident assistant. Recently, unregistered guests, cars were ticketed for not having stickers. The problems were easily resolved when the cars were identified as belonging to guests. The only time a guest is not immune from parking tickets is when they are for violations such as parking next to a fire hydrant. The meeting was then adjourned by the President. Again we would like to make an open invitation for all Meade Heights residents to join the Board of Governors. Chi Gamna lota One of the organizations on campus which has captured the true ideal of college life is the Chi Gamma lota or XGI fraternity. Without the aid of this conscientious, well-organized group the picnic reception for our incoming juniors would not have been a success. The various tasks needed to prepare for this affair and the work involved in running the picnic were energetically undertaken. The XGl’s have made remarkable progress and all of us who have worked with them, I’m sure marvel at their ability to handle difficult jobs so smoothly. And this especially includes Mr. A 1 Aaron of the P.A.V.E. office who supervised the group. My appreciation is great - my thanks sincere. E.
