one. Great improvement can be
seen by the team's fans in the
new passing game displayed in
the Schuylkill contest. The
Soccer Club has finally
outgrown its organizational
pains and is truly worth
watching. Coach Ed Trunk is
especially to be congratulated
for the vast amount of time and
energy he has given on behalf of
the team.
Coming contests, which are
played at home at the athletic
field, are York, tonight at 8:30

Dressler, playing in a steady down
pour, defeated the York Campus
(P.S.U.) Golf Team by the score
of 13 5.

victory this season and ran its
record to 15.

TEAM EFFORT PAYS OFF
by
Harry Franzreb
The Capitol Campus soccer
team, recorded its second
victory of the year against
Schuylkill Campus. The losers
came here for revenge as a result
of an earlier 7 to 1 shellacking
and went home with a 3 to 0
loss.
Goalie Dave Pletcher
recorded his first shutout; at one
time stopping a penalty kick.
Dave got plenty of help from
Steve Konsowitz who kept their
offense honest as he knocked
down anyone not wearing a
white shirt who had the ball.
Midway through the first
period center Denny Doerr
scored his 11th goal of the year.
capitol took a 1 to 0 lead into
the halftime.
In the second half our
forward line continued to shoot
at random at the opposing goal.
Mike Ayyoub scored late in the
game with an assist from Denny
and "Diligent" Dave Link
scored his second goal from a
pass by Barry Deacon. Our last
game is next Wednesday against
Hazelton Campus. Game time is
8:15 at the athletic field.
