Tennis squad ends good season
by
Jack Hilbert
The Capitol Campus Tennis
Team concluded its best season
in the history of the school with
an 8 to 1 victory over Penn
State's Schuylkill Campus last
week.
The club wound up the
season with 3 wins and 3 losses.
Only six of the 10 scheduled
matches were played because of
rainouts. The first match was
cancelled due to snow.

Last Saturday afternoon Capitol Campus baseball club met
Millersville State College at Millersville. The ball club might as well
have stayed in bed all day as inconsistent fielding and 6 walks helped
Millersville easily beat Capitol 11 - 0.
Andy Burger started for Capitol and was relieved by Denny
Hlavaty in the sixth. Bright spots by the Lions was third baseman
Barry Bauer, 1 for 3, and the stronge defensive play of Lonnie
Spence and Darryl Johnson.
