Yike and Duda win
Pinochle tourney
The Meade Heights Pinochle
Tournament has come to an end
and the team of John Yike and
Joe Duda emerged victorious.
Andy Oronzi and Steve
Konsowitz finished second and
Harvey Lubar and Mike
Fittipaldi came in third.
The winners split $22 while
$l2 was awarded second place
and $7 third.
The tournament, which was
conducted by Commissioner
John Domizio, saw 46 people
participate. The play lasted
nearly four weeks, and the
action took place in several
houses in the Heights.
Domizio said the tournament,
which was held for the second
time, was staged "to rouse
interest in the game." He also
said it stirred some activity in
the Heights where "everybody
was complaining there is nothing
to do."
