SWETZ'S SWINGERS Brent Cohen, Capt. 944-0303 Elects Officers On April' 5, the Beta Chi Society (Business Club) elected new officers for the 1973-74 academic year. Those elected were: Bob Woodington, President; Bill Jones, Vice President; and Laine Kerner, Treasurer. New innovations sought by these officials include making Beta Chi a national organization thereby providing the members with increased privileges and benefits. All members wish the newly elected officers the best of luck during their term in office. Another topic of discussion at the meeting was the possibility of a two day trip to New York City. Areas of interest to business students that may be included on the excursion are the stock exchanges, the Chemical Banks of New York, and the Dept. of Business Administration at New York University. Anyone interested in the trip can contact one of the present officers. The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Capitol Campus athletic field. Team representative Dan Fichtner urges everyone to attend: "The bleachers are there to be sat on; we need your continued support so that we may play this fall." MIX 3 PHILA TEAM WINS TWICE By Ed Ganssle As part of the B.S.U.'s Arts Festival week, a crowd of about 100 people rolled into Middletown's Main Street Gym to see basketball action on April 3. A team from HACC and Capitol's Brotherhood squad each took on the Bullets from Philadelphia, a semi-pro team, to provide a fantastic display of basketball ability. Because of a delay of about 45 minutes, each of the two games was cut to three quarters. HACC's team,' led by Davis' 16 points, put up a fine struggle. But outstanding shooting by Morgan and .Britt of the Bullets put the game out of reach for a convincing 63.32 Philadelphia victory. The Brotherhood, in the second game of the evening, put up an even better fight. Lead by Jim Burton, the Brotherhood trailed by only one at the end of the first period and were only seven behind at the conclusion of the second. However, the Bullets won the game 63-39, due largely again to Britt and Morgan who scored 28 of the team's points. Others participating on the Brotherhood squad were Dick Kendall, Greg Williams, AI Brown, Ramone Segree, Ken Williams Mac, Franie and Tim. The entire Black Student Union should be congratulated for coming out to give fantistic moral support to the team. Tennis Club Schedule 1913 OPPONENT 1. Shippensburg College 2. Schuylkill Campus 3.
