Delta Tau Kappa, the
international social science
honor society, will hold a regular
meeting on May 30 at 7:00 p.m.
in the T.V. Lounge.
The Alpha chapter will utilize
the meeting to finaliie the plans
for the Open Forum during the
first week of June. Provost
Robert E. McDermott will be
featured in the forum.
The group will also discuss
plans and activities which DTK
will sponsor during the 1972-73
academic year. Many speakers,
forums, and cultural and
educational events are in the
works for the coming year. The
honor society also plans to
continue its student advising
program which it established
during fall orientation last year.
Last Thursday, DTK
sponsored a seminar on "Careers
in Mental Health", featuring are
people working in the field of
mental health rehabilitation. The
professionals stressed that
mental illness is a disease
entirely different from mental
retardation. Retardation is a
condition acquired at birth;
mental illness is a condition
protracted by interaction in
society, thepanerclaimed.
The panelists mentioned that
while jobs in the field of mental
health rehabilitation are not
plentiful, there remains a need
for highly trained professionals
and volunteer workers.
John K. Stauffer, a student at
Capitol Campus, was also a panel
member. He is currently
Vice-President of the Aurora
Club, which is relatively like an
out-patient activities center for
mental health patients. Stauffer
exuberantly explained the

DTK stresses that its members
need not be students in the
social science program. The
qualifications for membership
are only a 3.0 cumulative
grade-average at Capitol and 20
or more credit hours of
instruction in the social sciences
in an entire college career. It is
possible that an engineering
student may join, providing he
has had 20 hours of liberal arts
courses in college instruction.

THE CAPITOLIST
Our "Born Loser" award goes
to our own Steve Wesley. It is
being awarded to him for an
incident which occured last
spring and has just been
published in his recent
:autobiography. It seems that
after the loss of last year's SGA
election, Mr. Wesley was bitten
in the rectum by a wild dog. Mr.
Wesley was then arrested for
cruelity to animals.
News has been spreading
throughout the campus of a
police crackdown. It has been
noted that many students have
been receiving tickets from
"Smokey the Bear."
In the political news, we hear
that Dr. Bressler is expected to
become campaign manager for
Harold Stassen.

Limerick of the Week:
There was a lady from Nace,
Whose corset got too tight to

Her mother said, "Nellie,
There's more in your belly,
Than ever went in through your

One year ago today the date
was May 25, 1971. On that day,
Barry Deacon was accepted to
Capitol Campus providing he
would make good throws to first
base. Now, one year later,
Deacon is in jeopardy of losing
his acceptance. If anyone can
make any sense of this, explain
it to Steve Konsowitz.
Trivia Question of the Week:
Jackie Cooper portrayed what
character in "The People's
Choice?" (Hint: His girlfriend
was Amanda Peoples.)
Last week's correct answer
was Newton. He was the
projectionist on "Willie the

It was answered correctly by
Len Thompson who wins a free
weekend in Camden. Second
place went to Bob Newmer, who
wins a free week in Camden.
Incidently, for those of you who
aren't familiar with Camden, it is
the crotch of the nation.
If you have this week's
correct answer or any
contribution to this column, call
Steve at 944-9710 or Steve at
