Intramural M by Cliff Claypool On Wednesday, April 12th, the spring term Intramural Mixed Bowling League began at the Middletown Lanes at 9:30 PM. The league will again be run on a round robin and handicap basis with each pair of competing teams viling for a total of four points. Each of the three games is worth one point to the winning team, and total pins is also worth one point. Because of the special rates given to Capitol Campus students by the Middletown Lanes, league bowling is very cheap at $1.30 per person per night. Included in the bowling fee are free shoes and a wide selection of bowling balls if needed. At all times at the Middletown Lanes when no league bowling is taking place, all Capitol Campus students get special rates except on Tuesday and Saturday nights when everybody can bowl 3 games for $l.OO after 9:00 PM. If you like to bowl, and you're looking for plenty of excitement, the intramural bowling league is just the thing for you. If you don't bowl then the bowling league would be a good place to learn. Bowling is a lot of fun, and it gives students a oprovirau "WASIIIOIII I ISIII6MWASINGIVIAIGISMIEVOSISIVON MGM NOTICE FERTILITY DAY PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING -0 l~aclsac c~ac ldac~acec cs Tuesday, April 18, Meade Heights Coffee House 7:00 PM FACTORY STORE---Savings Famous Brand Split Cowhide Men's Golf & Tennis Fringed Vests Shirts $3.95 $lO.OO Polyester & Cotton Unisex Dress Shirts Fancy Flair $3.95 Jeans $5.00 ALSO AVAILABLE—SUEDE AND LEATHER SKINS 230 Cant kr ° 11 4 1 ROUGH WEAR CLOTHING CO Wood & Wilson Sts. During the fall term of this year there were 16 teams in the league, and last term there were 12 teams. If there are enough bowlers in the league this term then each team will have five members; otherwise, the league will go to four member teams. Each team can be made up of all men, all women or both men and women. During the first week of the league each team will have a chance to vote on how the final championship should be decided. At the end of the league, trophies will be presented to each member of the winning team. Also individual trophies will be awarded for high average, high series and high game, all on a scratch basis, for both men and women. Last term there were only five girls bowling for three individual trophies, and most of these girls aren't returning to bowl during the spring term. So, girls, let's help make this bowling league the best ever. Here's hoping to see you at the bowling lanes competing with such teams as Dr. Shock, Hermies," Pinheads and Last Laugh. BE THERE! Since many students go home on weekends, why not try the local junkyard. Also, rumor has it a house in Middletown has a tub on its front porch. PSPE, which is sponsoring the event, is so far the only club to make a definite entry into the race. A few others have indicated that they will enter, but they are all engineers. What's wrong, don't you other people know what a bathtub is? (Answer -- it is the long, white(?) thing in your bathroom.) Pre-registration forms and official rules are available in the PSPE office, W-11013. The club requests that people fill out these pre-registration forms soon so it can get an idea as to how many tubs will be entered in the race. This pre-registration form is not the official entry ticket. The official forms will be published soon and are due in the PSPE office by Wednesday, May 10, 1972.
