The Behrend soccer team came
through with their second victory
of the year, beating Alliance 1-0
in overtime. The game's single
goal was scored by Tony Horvath
with an assist from Joe Kushon.
Part of the team's success may
have been in the new field. Dave

The Women's Volleyball Team
has had three triangular matches
withing the past two weeks. Their
first match was against Carlow
College and Lake Erie College on
Sept. 25th here at Behrend. The
Lady Cubs won both matches
beating Carlow 2-0; 15-12, 15-1,
and downing Lake Erie by
a score of 2-0, 15-10, 15-12.
On Sept. 27, the Lady Cubs
traveled to Mercyhurst to take on
Mercyhurst and Grove City.
Although they lost to Grove City
0-2; 11-15, 2-15, they were able to
beat Mercyhurst 2-1; 15-13, 4-15,
15-13.
The Lady Cubs' third match
was at Seton Hill against Seton

against Houghton, the Cubs
weren't as lucky. Houghton
scored it's first of six goals within
the first six minutes. Although the
Cub's offense started strong, they
became frustrated with plays and

Ott had ten kills in 15 attempts,
to lead the Cubs to a 2-0 victory;
15-12, 15-9.
In the Seton Hill match the
Lady Cubs again came out on
top, 2-1; 11-15, 16-14, 15-4,

23 attempts.
The Lady Cubs are now 3-1 in
N.A.I.A. district 18, and 8-6
overall. Future matches include
