There are five basic attractions which will probably be ex perienced by every individual at some time in his life (please refer to the diagram at the bottom of this article). The Sun-Moon at tra;-tion is often responsible for intez:se, loving friendships. It occL:rs between individuals whose mot n sign and sun sign are in conjunction. Between a man and a woman this type of attraction is very important in the establish ment of long term relationships. It means that a certain amount of mutual admiration, respect and understanding is in operation between them. The Sun-Mars and Venus-Mars' attractions are responsible for sex appeal. These types of at tractions rarely lead to concrete relationships. Instead, affairs, flirtations, or seductions are the usual outcome. The Sun-Mars attraction is usually a playful, earthy one. But Venus-Mars attractions can be violently in tense. A woman whose Venus is in Aries would find a man whose Mars is in Aries very sexy and seductive. In the reverse situation the man would find the woman extremely appealing in the physical sense and she would most likely play the role of siren for him. One of the most interesting attractions to occur between two people is the Uranus-Venus at traction. Uranus is an erratic and unstable planet. It is the planet of change and awakening. This planet plays a big role in the lives of teenagers. It forces them out into the world in pursuit of the opposite sex. But unlike Venus, Uranus is meant merely to awaken and not to stabilize. Under Uranus influence sexual interest is not supposed to lead to lovemaking. It is to lead to friendship - and companionship. But a Uranus-Venus attraction is often responsible for what we know as "love at first sight." It is extremely intense and very sudden, sometimes frightening, because the individuals will have had no previous contact. Under these circumstances it is difficult to rationalize the strong feelings. C. j. DUSCKAS • G. It. BAILEY W3u.akafi=oaitep funeral Apomt 2607 BUFFALO ROAD mir ERIE, PA. It is often responsible for love between people who cannot marry or between individuals whose age differences are very great. Only a very mature individual could or should become involved in this type of attraction, knowing it would not last. The Uranus-Sun attractions are generally light-hearted and amusing. The two individuals involved will always have something to talk about, usually a shared interest. It is a friendly, spontaneous interaction and a lot of joking and laughter will be shared. Occasionally, there is a certain amount of irritation ac companying this type of at traction but this depends on the aspects. Dear Mr. DeCrease, (in answer to your letter) Who are you to tell me how Jesus' words are to be used? Like most Bible students and Bible people I have known, I find you self-righteous and short on tolerance. Who made the Bible and Jesus your personal property to be interpreted by you and as you see fit? I quote from authorities and I would never offer Bebrend students garbage. Undoubtedly, you have not read MONDAY 4/14 TUESDAY 4/15 WEDNESDAY 4/16 THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY =I2 I .ELIMI Jocelyn, .Leek or Zolar. Since Bible students tend to be very literal, I am not surprised that you missed out completely on the mysticism of my words. Astrology is not a fad. Perhaps the intensity with which others have latched onto it has made it appear to be a fad, but I assure you that for myself and others like me it is not and has never been. God is not to be found and understood solely in the pages of a book. He is to be found in the slow and careful observations of those most like him. (Let us make him in our image). Astrology is merely an extension of those observations.
