decided to try the "Big City". Her
chance came through a national
talent hunt called the Sound of
Youth U.S.A. Mary was a semi
finalist and was sent to New York,
Where she performed at the
Bitter End Cafe's Hootenanny.
The directors of the Coffee House
Circuit heard her, and shortly
thereafter she was enroute to her
coffee house debut. She has
rarely stopped working since,
doing both coffee houses and
concerts. Mary has recorded her
first single on the Decca label
with more to come.
Her performance mixes con
temporary folk and popular
music, and an exchange of ideas
in song with the audience. Mary is
a vibrant, open, idealistic and
unique performer.

Behrend Collegian
The Amazing Kreskin, the
world's foremost mentalist and
ESP performer. will appear at
Behrend Campus Tuesday,
January 18, at 8 p.m. in Erie Hall.
Admission is 50 cents for students
with an activity card, $1.50 for
students without and $2.5G for the
general public.
Kreskin has amazed and
amused audiences all over the
country with his extraordinary
talents. He has appeared on TV
with Johnny Carson, Mery
Griffin, Mike Douglas, and Steve
Allen.
He goes out of his way to make
it thoroughly clear that he is not a
psychic person, has no preter
natural skills and depends upon
no subtle trickery. Both as an
entertainer and a scientific
experimenter, he works with just
a highly cultivated sensitivty.
Kreskin first became interested
in sensitivity as a boy when his
favorite comic strip was Man
drake the Magician. He began
with card tricks and by the age of
eleven he was putting on shows as
a boy magician. From this boyish
fascination to a college thesis on
ESP at Seton Hall, Kreskin's
interest has grown. He someday
hopes to change ESP to PSE,
Phenomena Scientifically
Explainable.
