December 2, 1971 Nimble Fingers Aristedes Katos eats his way to fame and fortune as he downed 13 bananas in five minutes and all opposition in the second annual Behrend Banana Eating Contest. SUB 'The "The Nutcracker" "The Nutcracker," by the New York City Ballet, starring Edward Villella, will be shown on Sunday, December 5 in The Reed Union Building Lecture Hall. Showings will be at 7 and 8:15 p.m. Price of admission will be 35c with an activity card and $1 without an activity card. The Nutcracker is the classic ballet, captured with all its beauty and enchantment in a magnificent motion picture. On the screen it is an "actual and breathtaking performance" by the most acclaimed dance company in America. C..aN 9 ::1U - 8:CO Behrend Collegian Notes from Administration; Make=up Classes Scheduled Makeup Classes According to University regulations, the Wednesday, November 24 afternoon classes, 12:05 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. will meet according to schedule on Wed nesday, December 8 1971; Thanksgiving Day classes (Thursday, November 25) will meet according to schedule on Monday, December 6; Friday November 26 classes will meet according to schedule on Tuesday, December 7; Saturday, November 27 classes will meet according to schedule on Wed nesday, December 8, 8 a.m. to 12:05p.m. Identification photographs will be taken for those students lacking the new I.D.'s on Monday, December 6, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Students who will be at tending another campus for the Winter Term should get their pictures taken at the new cam pus. The new I.D. cards will be available to students at Winter Registration. Pictures will be taken in either 8719 or in the Audio-Visual Storage Cage Area in the Behrend Building Signs will be posted in the building at that time. Political Science Freshman students should complete Political Science 1 before scheduling Political Science 3. Political Science 1 is a much more basic course, laying the groundwork for much of what was covered in Political Science 3. Any questions regarding this should be referred directly to Dr. Deutsch, of the Political Science Department. Songs For Christmas A Christmas program and carol singing will be held on Monday evening, December 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of RUB. Our campus musical organizations will participate in the program. Summer Jobs Each summer there are a limited number of opportunities for summer jobs with the Federal Government. These jobs vary from office jobs to Park Rangers and are located throughout the United States. Some of these jobs require that a student take the Summer Employment Examination which will provide an opportunity for him to compete on a merit basis for a summer job. The Examination will be ad ministered once each month from January to March 1972. The last possible application date for competing in the written test is February 2.
