November 18, 1971 Parking Lot Regulations Much to the delight of car driving students, the new parking lot F, opened Wednesday, November 17; behind Dobbins Hall. This parking lot is restricted to long term parking of resident hantudents and guests. Because there are no lights, security will be carefully patroling the area. The small parking lots behind the individual dorms will be used by the dorm resident staff and also for short term parking - of resident students and their guests. Lot A, which is located next to the Reed Union Building, is for faculty, staff, visitors and commuters. • These restrictions will be en forced starting Monday, -November 22. . 'Camelot' Shown Nov. 21 "Camelot," starring Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave will be showing in the Reed Union Building on Sunday, November 21. Admission will be 35 cents with an activity card and $1 without. Showings will be at 7 and '9. Camelot is a timeless musical adventure, set in the days of King Arthur. It won three Academy Awards during its year-long roadshow presentation. John Truscott, production designer, spent more than a year creating a "mod-medieval Camelot without any identification to any specific place or period, suspended in both time and space." JRC Plans Christmas Old movies, concerts and decorating Christmas trees are a few of the events scheduled for student enjoyment before Christmas vacation. The Joint Residence Council discussed these ideas and many more at their November 16 meeting. Bill (Buggsy) Seigel chairman of the Naigara Hall dorm council suggested a "spontaneous" concert by sponsored by Niagara Hall. JRC approved this idea almost im mediately. This concert will be held Tuesday, November 30, in the Niagara Hall lobby. The concert, open to all three dorms and commuters, is just what it states-"spontaneous" ...Anyone who plays an instrument, sings, or has any other talent is welcome to participate in this event. Nine o'clock is the scheduled starting time although the concert will run as long as there are people there willing to entertain. It is up to the residents of each dorm to turn the bare tree into a creative masterpiece. Several serious matters were also proposed at this meeting. Students in the dorms - will be encouraged to invite interested faculty members and other in terested people in the community to "rap': in the dorm lobbies to establish a closer, informal contact with these groups. Another proposal in the making is the use of available residence hall space for emergency use by the commuters during heavy snow storms when they are unable to get home. There is to be no charge for these students, but they must register with a residence hall staff member. ,vt KIM ea qh.jo ps , & • itS 4kiiik -A- 7 7 '4"1 :7% -10filUSit NOW METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER Presents A story of love.
