Winter Footsteps
The first footfalls of winter fell on Behrend last week. This is a mere
prelude for what is to come. Snow at Behrend signals the appearance of
snowmen, snowballs to throw at resident students leaving the cafeteria,
idiot mittens, broken arms and legs, four pairs of long underwear,
Cwans Give
$9O Donation
Cwens, Behrend service club,
went to the Brookside Fire
Department and presented the
volunteers with the $9O that was
collected during the camera
raffle that was held last month.
Captain Door was enthusiastic
about the gift and said it will go
toward the new ambulance the
department hopes to acquire.
They got into the Halloween
spirit on October 23, 24, and 25, by
selling pumpkins at a low price
outside the library in the RUB.
The students and faculty really
supported the projects and many
jack-o-lanterns appeared around
campus as a result of the sale.
Cwens continue to deliver
Birthday Cakes to surprised
students. Five Cakes were
delivered this month by Janice
Schultz, head of the project,-and
other Cwens volunteers. These
cakes can still be ordered for
friends whose birthdays are
coming up sometime during the
rest of the school year. ORDER
NOW. Call 899-4505.

genuine Alaskan moosehide mukluks, ski bums, fuel line freeze-up, and
frostbite. We regret to announce that - the Behrend Bernard will not be
with us this year. He evidently got wise to what was in the cask, and we
haven't seen him since last February. Special warning to freshmen:
Keep a firm grip on your books while going to class because if you drop
them in a snowdrift, you won't find them until the Spring Thaw. And it's
kinda hard to sell them back to the Bookstore after that!
The Players will present "An
Evening with Terrence McNally"
on December 1 and 2 in the
Studio. The program will include
"Noon", "Next", "Tour", and
"Last Gasps" -four one-act plays
