emerged as one of the top
tier MBA program's in the
nation. Behrend is in league
with schools such as Harvard,
Stanford, Ohio State, and
many more.
This rank is no surprise for
the school, considering the
school of Business is accredit
ed through the Association to

tion world wide. Our MBA
program has also been
ranked in Princeton Review
and U.S. World News and Re
port magazines respectively.
For most entrants the pro
gram consists of a fall, spring,
and summer semester. This
allows graduates to finish the
program in as quickly as one
year.

"You cannot easily com
pare the programs because
they are too different per
haps," Warner said.
"Some advantages you
might see however are the
length of the program and
class size. There are usually
no more than thirty five stu
dents to a class. This really
gives us a chance to assess
the student's performance.
We may be able to give better
feedback than a larger MBA
program."
Behrend MBA students
are split between students
who have just received their
degrees and those who have
been working in the profes
sional world for some time.
"This allows for a great
balance," Warner said. "This

Behrend's program has

Electric, and PNC.

resumes while in graduate
school," Waters said.
What may hold some back
from pursuing an MBA after
undergraduate study is the
GMAT exam. GMAT stands
for the graduate manage
ment admissions test, and is
required for most business
graduate programs.
For those of you who do
not know, the GMAT is a gen
eral aptitude assessment and
is a requirement to be eligible
for MBA study.
The test is supposed to
measure a correlation be
tween results and success in
the program.

Counselor for the MBA pro
gram, helped clear up some
confusion about the exam.

Both the math and quan
titative sections take seventy
five minutes each and there
are two essays administered,
each is designated a half an
hour a piece.
The GMAT is based on
grade point average so;
there is stronger pressure on
those who graduated with
a lower grade point aver
age. Behrend's minimum re
quired score is four hundred
fifty and the average score is
around five hundred thirty."

GMAT test takers. Behrend's
high performing MBA pro
gram is only continuing to
improve.

to continue further study at
Penn State Behrend and re
ceive the MBA degree.
