Since it has been over 2 years since Behrend has hosted its own homecom ing, the committee had a lot to accomplish, and the students have a lot to look forward to. "Since the organization is so young, there was little hype about it at first," said Andy lams, president of the committee. "We're trying to give the Behrend students who always complain of how little there is to do something great to stay the weekend for." Many students have been made aware of the home coming events through their clubs and organiza tions, who are each respon sible for nominating one individual for homecoming court. see HOMECOMING, page 3 There may not be any noticeable changes to Bruno's right now, but be hind the scenes there is a new manager that is work ing on slowly leaving her mark. Elizabeth Kearns was promoted from her catering job to Bruno's manager shortly before the semester began. So far she is very much enjoying the job. "This is more exciting because I'm right in the middle of campus and get to work with more stu dents, plus I'm never bored!" Elizabeth stated about her new job. So far she has started working on some small menu changes with the head chef, but there won't be anything drastic. "It's not like I can get rid of the chicken wraps," Kearns joked, referring to the menu. Her main goal for Bruno's right now is to maintain the excellence that Mike Lindner put into place as manager. How ever, she has big plans for what will be put next to Bruno's outside. It is still in the design stage, but a convenience store will make its way onto campus. It will be located on the south side of the Reed Building right next to the outer wall of Bruno's. See BRUNO'S, page 3 KATIE DUFFY Brunos gets new boss CAROLYN ZAFFINO st,llt 1% I 'let
