Protestant Campus Ministry hosts basket auction

The Protestant Campus Min
istry (PCM) is auctioning
themed baskets for a fundraiser
from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 at
the Smith Chapel.

and staff.
According to Chadwick, the
fundraiser is a silent auction
where students, faculty, and

As of Thursday, five students
wrote down a bid, yet Chad
wick predicts that 20 students
will bid by the Saturday dead
line. She expects an increase in
bidding due to the choir concert
held at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Chadwick anticipates raising
around the same amount of
money as last year, which was
$5OO.
"We plan on using,the money
for activities," Chadwick said.
"We have activities going on all
the time. On Sundays we have
worship and then a dinner and
discussion after the worship.
We will also use [the money]
for prayer and meditation held
on Wednesdays."
Chadwick explained that the
highest bidder for each basket
will receive their particular bas
ket the following week.
Each individual basket has its
own theme and consists of
items that relate to the specific
theme. As of Thursday, the
themes are finals, hunting, bak
ing, chocolate, Mary Kay,
Christmas, and soup. Chadwick
said that the most popular bas
ket will be the ticket basket,
which includes tickets to the
