Final Exam Conflict: Filing
Period
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Parent & Family Weekend
Junior Danielle Zamick went
on the ASB trip last year and
wants to go again. Zamick
transferred from Behrend to
University Park this year.
“I gained a lot from my expe
rience, mainly just to appreci
ate what you have,” Zarnick
said. “It’s sad, but you don’t re
alize everything in life that you
take as ‘necessities’ until you
see people whose homes have
been destroyed and literally
have nothing. It definitely im
pacted me and my outlook on
life, maybe causing me to see
things more on the brighter
side.”
Ninety students total will be
going on the trip. Of those 90
students, 40 will be from
Behrend and 50 from other
Penn State campuses.
“I want to do it again this
year because we had a blast,”
Zarnick said. “You go there
with forty people from your
school, most of whom you don’t
know. When there you become
a family working side by side.
To see the families in need ap
preciate their new home makes
it truly worth it.”
