Penn State Behrend's spring performance of Cabaret
opened April 16 in the Studio Theater. The intimate cast
of 17, under the direction of Chrystyna Dail, brings a
provocative and political musical to Behrend.
Cabaret, music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred
Ebb and hook by Joe Masteroff, is about the Kit Kat
Klub during the rise of Hitler. Sally Bowles (Cassie
Kosmal) is a dancer at the Kit Kat Klub. Clifford
Bradshaw (Darius K. Martin) is a struggling writer try
ing to find inspiration in Berlin.

Lady Lions win doubleheader
The Penn State Behrend softball team has continued their out
standing play with a (3-1) week with sweeps of AMCC foe Pitt-
Greensburg and Westminster.
In game one of a double header with Pitt-Greensburg on April 11,
senior pitcher Julie Koman led the way to a commanding 11-1 vic
tory.
She held the Bobcats to one run on four hits and tallied six strike
outs, while recording her eighth win of the season.
Katie Whitby and Nikki Kaschauer led the way offensively for the
Blue and White. Whitby was three-for-four with three RBI

Steelers at Behrend
Super Bowl XLIII
Champions, the Pittsburgh
Steelers, will be playing a bas
ketball game at the Junker
Center on Sunday, April 19 at 3
p.m. against the Behrend
Community All-Stars.
According to Behrend's head
men's basketball coach Dave
Niland, the Behrend
Community All-Stars consists
of a collection of students, fac
ulty, staff, and alumni that
totals 15 players.
The game is a fundraising
event for the men's basketball
program. Niland said that this
year marks the fifth consecu
tive year that Behrend has held
this event with the Steelers.
