To all new students, welcome to Penn State Behrend. And to all returning
students, welcome back. For better or worse this weekend kicks off the Fall 2008 semester,
and this issue of The Beacon will help you navigate it. For freshman, there are a lot of
things to learn, and we hope to speed up that learning process a little bit
upperclassmen, there have been some things going on around campus
that you might not know about yet
We’re starting off with the orientation schedule because we know that when we were
freshmen, most of us lost our schedules halfway through day one. We have guides to local
restaurants, attractions, and shops. Also in this issue are tips to help get you settled in, and
