After they started playing together they realized that they sounded good and may as well try to make it a career. Soon after they got together they were hooking shows in various Pittsburgh clubs and colleges, and their sound was getting eaten up by the Pittsburgh "Top Five Comedians" By Ryan P. Gallagher . When you go to one of their shows, don't expect them to be in matching outfits and dancing moves to get the crowd's attention. They've been around for 20 years and their style has worked for them every step of the way. They are focused on rocking out and having fun while doing it. The Clarks sound can be described as pop/rock and their songs are filled with enough hooks to outfit a fishing fleet. Their lyrics speak to their listeners and keep them listening, along with screaming them at the top of their lungs during their shows. The band opening for The Clarks, ZOX, is also a killer hand, and definitely will keep you entertained. They have a self described "violin laced-reggae rock" sound, and I can assure you that it's unique. They have been putting on shows all over the country for the past five years, and most recently and notably were featured in the Vans Warped Tour. If you're looking for a rocking good time next Thursday you can definitely find it at Erie Hall at 7 p.m. ZOX and The Clarks are sure to get the place all sorts of rowdy and keep all who attend rockin' out into the night. http://www.clarksonline.com Rebecca Clayton - Freshman Favorite TV station: MTV Last movie seen: Borat Favorite activities: Shopping, hanging out with friends, working out • - r i l - r l l ri 11 j Picasso's back By Elizabeth Carey staff writer eacslloo`psu edu Thursday, Nov. 1 is the opening for Penn State Behrends Studio Theatre fall play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
