will come from this report. There will be a follow

Behrend to hold Iraq
Penn State Behrend’s School of Humanities and
Social Sciences and the Sample Center for Manners
and Civility will host a panel discussion on
Thursday. November 2.
The main purpose for this forum is to help educate
the students and local community about the war in
Iraq. "We're trying to present a rational approach to
solving the problem," said Dr
director of the School of
Humanities and Social
Sciences and panel modera
tor. "It's important to deal
with it in terms of what are
the facts, what’s going on in
Iraq, what are the options on
the part of the United States
government, and where do
we go from here," he said.
The faculty panel will con
sist of Dr. Charles Brock, sen-
ior research associate in reli
gious studies. Dr. Christopher
Cook, assistant professor of
political science. Dr. Ralph
Eckert, associate professor of
American history, Dr. Mel
Sundin, assistant professor of
communication, and Kim Young, instructor in jour-
nalism
Aquila stated that each faculty member on the
panel brings something different to the table.
Sundin spent a career in the military before becom
ing a professor of communication. In fact. Sundin
actually worked with Vice President Dick Cheney
while in the military. Before coming to Bchrend,
Young was the news director at WQLN and a news
anchor for WSEE, channel 35 news. Young will
