The Beacon seeks writers from all majors
The Beacon is currently in search of writers from all majors and
semester standings. Even if journalism is not your major, you can still
write for the Beacon. Our weekly club meetings are held Mondays at 5
p.m. in Library 12. If you can't make the meetings, the staff will work
with your schedule.
The Beacon is an actively registered club with SGA. It is not
necessary to be enrolled in Commu 001 to work on the Beacon. You
can devote as little or as much time to the newspaper as your schedule
allows. Whether you choose to write three articles a week, or write
once every three weeks, it is up to you.
Have a voice on the campus and be heard. We circulate 2,250
copies among 4,000 students, faculty, staff and campus visitors. The
Behrend Beacon is a student-published newspaper, by the students for
the students.
